Believe the hype!,
I was not hopeful when I ordered this. I only bought it because I needed something that was cloth diaper safe, because I was sick of using liners. Despite using cloth diapers, and changing diapers every 2 hours, my daughter had a near constant red, dry, bumpy bottom. “Some babies just have constant rash” people told me. Every night, I dutifully slathered my daughters bottom with zinc oxide cream (I have seemingly tried them all thanks to baby samples and gifts, we also went through a whole lot). Almost from the moment we started to use Grandma El’s her redness cleared right up. I could NOT believe it. I also started to put Grandma El’s under her mouth and chin, and the rash she had developed from her constant spittle also cleared up.
Some more pros:
* Smells wonderfully sweet, but not perfume-y.
* Much easier to wipe off your hands than zinc oxide cream.
* Goes on clear.
* A little goes a long way.
* Fully cloth diaper safe!
* Very cute packaging, looks like a boutique baby product.
If you cloth diaper, this is a must have. If you have tried everything and your baby still has redness, give this a try!

|My Baby LOVES Grandma El’s!,
I picked up some of this diaper rash ointment a while back and have been using it whenever my 19-month-old daughter shows signs of rash. Besides the fact that it has been working great and my daughter LOVES the cute picture of the baby on the front and always wants to hold it, and besides the fact that it’s the only diaper rash treatment she doesn’t mind being applied, I have to tell you about my experience tonight. I am so grateful for this product. My daughter woke up crying a very distressed cry which is abnormal for her. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong; the usual ways of consoling her weren’t working and she wouldn’t tell me what was wrong in her usual ways. She just kept crying this long, sad cry. Finally, she reached down to her diaper area, giving me a clue. I laid her down for a diaper change, being sure to grab our tube of “Grandma El’s”. First of all, just at the sight of this product she started to become comforted (we’ve used it a few times), she signed “baby” (in ASL baby signs) and wanted to hold the tube. I opened her diaper and, sure enough, the area was covered with a bright red rash! Poor baby! She usually fights ointments being put on, so I told her I would help her with her diaper ointment. She laid still and let me apply the diaper rash remedy all around the red area. I tell you, as soon as I started applying it she became completely relaxed, no more crying, left-over tears just sitting on her face as she watched her mommy help her. As I snapped up her diaper her eyes were beginning to droop again and she immediately fell asleep, holding “her diaper ointment with the baby on the front” gently in her hand. I gave her a kiss, but she didn’t even stir, so comfortably sleeping she was. Grandma El’s is absolutely a superior product! I am so grateful that we happened upon this product!

|NOT SO -Cloth Diaper friendly and smells amazing..,
What more can you ask for? This is cloth diaper friendly and smells good enough to eat! Seriously. Most diaper creams stink and they’re just plain nasty. I wont buy anything but Grandma El’s from now on. I love love love it!
**EDIT**
I originally raved about this the first week of use and gave it 5 stars. It’s been a few weeks since then and this stuff had really done a number on my diapers. They are all repelling and need to be stripped. I only use soap nuts so I know soap build up is not the issue. Beware of products that say CD friendly as that’s not always the case. Use a barrier between the diaper and baby. My kid is in disposables right now until I can reverse the damage that was done. I’m NOT happy about it.
